What is private equity?


An introduction to venture capital and private equity for personal assistants, secretaries and support staff who have no previous accounting or financial training.

The course has been attended and appreciated by staff from a wide variety of private equity and venture capital related organisations from the UK and continental Europe.

Objectives

The aim of the course is to explain the rationale of private equity and venture capital investment, to give a basic understanding of relevant financial statements and terms and to illustrate the main stages of the investment process.

  • nature of the business in which you are working
  • meaning of the financial and accounting terms commonly used in private equity and venture capital; and
