Emerging market investors

Having worked with and trained investors in emerging markets for over ten years we have a particular understanding of the key investment challenges in these markets.

We have therefore developed and refined each emerging market course to address the key challenges in those environments.

All the case studies we use are based in emerging markets but we are careful to ensure that we don't lose sight of the investment fundamentals which apply everywhere.

Our experience in emerging markets

We believe our experience of training investors in emerging markets is unrivalled. Over the past ten years we have presented over 250 private equity training courses, attended by more than 3,150 delegates. Over one third of our courses have been exclusively for emerging market investors. In addition, delegates from emerging markets have attended many of our open courses.

We have worked with investors operating in:

  • Eastern Europe
  • South Asia
  • South-East Asia
  • South America
  • North and sub-Saharan Africa

We have trained and worked closely with a number of DFI and other public sector investors including:

  • Brunei Investment Authority
  • Brunei Ministry of Finance
  • CDC
  • DEG
  • EBRD
  • European Investment Bank
  • Finnfund
  • FMO
  • Norfund
  • Proparco
  • Swedfund

In addition, our private sector emerging market clients include:

  • Actis
  • Advent International
  • ARX Private Equity
  • Aureos
  • Barings Private Equity
  • EFG Hermes
  • HSBC Private Equity
  • Société Générale Asset Management

We understand the major issues facing emerging market investors, including the challenges of investment structuring, portfolio management and exits. Our courses use cases set in emerging markets to address these issues.
